Say What? Why a Two-Year Calendar?

Minnesota Elections and Legislative funding follow a Two-Year Cycle.
That's why SD47 has a Two-Year Calendar.

* In 2024 (EVEN years) we create a DFL SAMPLE BALLOT for three elections (customized for 19 precincts) and fund state and local projects that require a "mortgage" called a BOND: Roads, Buildings, Infrastructure, Water/Sewer, Dams, Ports. Professional ASCE civil engineers rate their condition A-F in the  Minnesota Report Card:
https://infrastructurereportcard.org/state-item/minnesota/

After the 2022 GOP spent $0 on bonds, in 2023 Gov Walz proposed $3.3 B in Jan 2022. The GOP delay added 20% to the cost of projects. It costs 10x less to keep roads in good repair with seal coating cracks, then get deep potholes that require a tear-out and new roadbed.
https://www.house.mn.gov/sessiondaily/Story/17578

*In 2025 (ODD YEARS) we fund ~24 state departments = salaries/expenses and one local election for school board/city. Gov. Walz and Lt. Gov. Flanagan created a "One Minnesota" plan, here:

https://mn.gov/onemnplan/

Previously, GOP MN Senate leader Paul Gazelka didn't do his job to approve Commissioners in 60 days. He withheld approving some commissioners for 3-4 years and "Fired" others for "disloyalty"  in a media circus political vendetta. The national GOP party stated their intent to install loyal partisans, instead of competent experts.
