ST PAUL – Today, March 6, the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party announced the allocation of national delegates to the Democratic National Convention based on the results of the 2024 Minnesota DFL presidential primary.
President Biden won 64 of the 75 delegates that were at stake in the DFL presidential primary. Uncommitted won 11 delegates.
“I want to thank every candidate that put their name forward and participated in our presidential primary,” said DFL Chairman Ken Martin. “President Biden’s overwhelming victories in Minnesota and across the country show that our party is uniting to defend our democracy from Donald Trump. The DFL will leave nothing on the table to keep Minnesota blue in this existential election.”
District-level Delegates (49 total)
At-large Delegates (16 total)
Party Leader and Elected Official (PLEO) Delegates (10 total)
To qualify for at-large and PLEO delegates, candidates had to receive at least 15% of the vote statewide. Candidates had to receive at least 15% of the vote in a congressional district to qualify for district-level delegates from that district.
Minnesota will send 92 delegates total to the 2024 Democratic National Convention – in addition to the 75 delegates that are allocated based on the results of the presidential primary, Minnesota has 17 “automatic” delegates that are not bound by the results of the primary.
